Dr Elizabeth Wasowicz graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Griffith University in 2015. She completed her internship and residency at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane before training as a psychiatrist and attaining her fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

Prior to working as a doctor, Dr Wasowicz had a long career working in genetics at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), where she worked in a diagnostics laboratory from 2006 to 2015. Prior to this she worked in genetics in the private space from 2001-2006. During her time at the RBWH in genetics she completed qualifications for the Human Genetics Society of Australasia.

Prior to entry into private psychiatry, Dr Wasowicz has worked in the public hospital system since 2016. For the past 5 years she has worked mostly in the inpatient psychiatric setting, combined with some community outpatient experience, for the West Moreton hospital and health service. During her training, Dr Wasowicz has accumulated skill in mood disorders, schizophrenia, drug-related disorders, anxiety disorders, and ADHD.

Throughout her training Dr Wasowicz has obtained a broad experience in many areas of psychiatry, however her passion for adult psychiatry with a special interest in psychotherapies and ADHD has been an increasing focus for her.
