The first appointment is a comprehensive evaluation. It typically includes:
• A detailed developmental and mental health history• Discussion with parents or carers
• Direct conversation with the child or adolescent (where appropriate) but this usually occurs in the second appointment
• Review of symptoms, functioning and current supports
• Psychological assessment tools will be given to complete between the first and second appointment (if required)
• Physical health screening will be requested (if required)
